Reducing Ammonia Emissions

Whether in the form of crude protein in a feed ration or as nitrogen fertilizer for crops, nitrogen represents one of the most expensive inputs in agricultural production. Reducing ammonia emissions from animal husbandry and crop production systems benefits livestock and crop producers by keeping valuable nitrogen in places where it can be used to produce food, fiber, and fuel. It also benefits Rocky Mountain National Park by reducing undesirable ecosystem changes.
